Bonnie Jones Reynolds, author of The Truth About Unicorns, grew up outside of Clinton, New York on a dairy farm that has been in the family since 1840. After high school she was going to become a nun, until she decided to pursue a career as a ballerina at the School of American Ballet in New York City. She soon changed course and became a successful model, traveling around the world. She has also been an actor, appearing in many television shows during the 1970s. She currently lives on her family farm, which she turned into Spring Farm CARES Animal Sanctuary in 1991.
