Daniel Stashower
In addition to his writing career, Daniel Stashower, a multi-award-winning author, has also worked as a professional magician, experience that he draws on for his novel Elephants in the Distance. His first mystery novel, The Adventure of the Ectoplasmic Man, was nominated for an Edgar Award, and his biography of Arthur Conan Doyle, Teller of Tales: The Life of Arthur Conan Doyle, won the Edgar for Best Critical/Biographical work. He has contributed to such periodicals as Smithsonian, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Washington Post and many more. Stashower lives in Maryland.
