Maggie Joel

Maggie Joel was born in Hertfordshire, in England, in 1966. She worked in London for several years, and then in 1991 moved to Australia. Her first novel, The Past and Other Lies, was published in Australia in 2009, and her second novel, The Second-Last Woman in England, was published in Australia in 2010, and won the Christina Stead Award for fiction, presented annually by the Fellowship of Australian Writers. She currently lives in Sydney.
