Simon Brett
Simon Brett is the award-winning author of more than 80 mostly comic mysteries, including the Charles Paris, Mrs. Pargeter and Fethering series. Brett's first job was a seven-week stint dressing as Santa Claus in a department store, after which he gladly moved on to being a producer for BBC radio. Brett wrote novels in his spare time, but it wasn't until producing the drama Lord Peter Wimsey that Brett considered writing crime fiction. He became a full-time writer in 1979. He and his wife live in West Sussex.
